A lightweight bout is in the works for an event to be determined in September between New Jersey native Jim Miller and American Top Team fighter Gleison Tibau.

The fight has been proposed and verbally accepted, but no bout agreements have been issued at this time according to sources close to the bout when speaking with MMAWeekly.com on Monday. MMADiehards.com first reported the fight on Monday.

The bout has been talked about for a September event that has not been confirmed or announced by the UFC, nor has there been a venue or location discussed at this time. More details about the September event will likely unfold over the coming weeks.

Currently riding a 4-fight win streak, Jim Miller (17-2) will look to build upon his already impressive resume in the lightweight division when he takes on Tibau. The AMA Fight Club team member has looked very impressive of late, and has started to work his way towards contender status in the 155lb weight class.

Known as one of the biggest fighters to cut to 155lbs, Gleison Tibau (21-6) did a great job of dispatching of Japanese fighter Caol Uno in dominant fashion in his last fight in March. The American Top Team fighter is now 8-4 during his time with the UFC, and facing Miller will be yet another tough test for the Brazilian.

There have been no other fights rumored for the as of yet announced September event. MMAWeekly.com will have more information on the date and venue for this fight as it becomes available.

This looks to be an exciting fight. I'm not sure who will take this. Tibau has stepped his game up since losing to Tyson Griffin. Miller is always a beast in the cage. I have to say Miller by decision on this 1 but would not be surprised to see Tibau win.
