You know I've seen alot of his fights now and everytime he steps in he surprises me...

With his last fight against Jacare I was again surprised with how gritty Joe is when he's pressured. Excellent BJJ defense. Joe really stayed in there and made it a solid fight after Jacares 1st round hurricane assault..

I think he is close to putting his game completley together... I am very interested to see who he's going to be facing next...

Training with Greg Jackson isn't hurting him at all either...

I do know that Joey has beaten this guy.....

Not world ranked fighters but solid competition...

He's the only other fighter to take Jacare the distance besides Mayhem Miller...

Who we all know takes world class fighters the distance for lunch...

My point being... I never really gave VIllasenor the respect he deserves. But IMO dude is a legit MW... Can't wait to see who he fights next...

He's a good fighter and I think, even at age 34, he's a top notch SF fighter. I wish he were able to land more of his shots in the second and third rounds. It would have been a awesome thing to see.

I had him in a parlay Saturday -- he's a savvy veteran and there was no way he should've been a 4:1 dog, which he proved by going the distance. He could've won that fight if he pushed the pace on the feet a bit more when Jacare was gassed.

I agree with this I was crazy impressed against Jacare, I though he was cannon fodder but he has some great submission defense and can transition well.

He's got some lead in his fists too.... I've seen him knock some dudes cold.

HIs KO of the UFCs Ryan Jensen was pretty ugly.

I always looked at him as a fighter you could just stick in fights and he would make it a competition. Never a top fighter - but that doesn't matter.

Jacare could have sub'ed him first round I believe, but he got caught up in the fight and didn't play it smart, then it turned into a dangerous fight.
