anyone watch this match? I like kendall, i think he has a ton of heart and that goes a long way.
I’m not sure how hurt kalib truly was, i think he realized this was the real deal and was scared he'd get really hurt. Kendall seems to have a ton of pride, it wouldn’t have mattered if he was hurt, it appeared he was out there to win!

Anyone else get a chance to watch this?

I fight on the amateur circuit and I've seen guys take worse injuries then that and keep fighting. Like Ken said, I doubt that Kalib had a broken rib. He may be in the UFC someday, but he needs work and that's clear.

Props to Kendall for keeping those punches and knees coming even after he got slammed and rocked around a little bit.

Kendall could have easily submitted Kalib in the 2nd round at about 2:40 with choke. Kalib gave kendall his neck for a good 10 seconds on a bad shoot. Kendall had no clue what to do..

I like Kendalls heart also, but it is getting frustrating seeing these fighters who do not know what to do when the situation presents itself.

I am not too sure kalib was really hurt... he kept saying he cracked or broke a rib.....if you have ever cracked or broken a rib, you know how painful it is..... there is no way that he could have been breathing or speaking the way he was... you can nonly breath in very short breaths, and each breath feels like it is your last..... i think he punked out....why, i don't know because the man definitely has some skills

Also the pressure to fight in the UFC probly has alot to do with them giving up. I dont know some of the guys they pic are pretty bad, and still need alot of training. I know UFC can pic better guys than this. They all ways seem to pic guys with little heart and skills. That fight should have been over when he had the leg.

i wanted him to win too, its a shame, i'm so disappointed he went out that way, i so thought he had it!
But kendall was good.

i wanted kendall to win this and im glad he did, he took some pretty heavy shots from kalib, including the high leg when he was trying to get up that he at a split second semi blocked, the guy wants to be their and he didnt let up and thats what the UFC needs,

kalib with a broken rib??, this guy complains about injuries throughout the whole show,if he really wanted to win that he could have, he was a better all around fighter, he made too many mistakes though, he told ken his rib was hurt in the middle of the match, kendall went straght after it

and his conditioning, ken needs to train these guys because thier performance is piss poor, had kendall and kalib fought when the show first started kalib would have destroyed him in the first minute of the first round, but as i said ken is not training these guys effectively and its showing alot

I dont think Ken is training them bad its just thats what hes used to. That probly they way he been taught soo cant blame him for the guys not likeing his style.

I have read that Kalib suffered a seperated rib and somthing eles. Which he said was pretty serious.

kalib was gassed in the first round. I think that had more do to with him not being able to completely dominate-hence having a hard time taking Kendall down and then not being able to f him up. Kendall is not impressive-he's better than Mike Kessler-but he isn't in the same league as former UFC TV finalists.

I now officially hate Ken. How is it that every one of his fighters gasses whereas Tito's crew has stamina? Have you ever seen a ref take points away within a match? Tito pointed the ref to it, and the ref then made it an issue.

Kalib was my favorite because he wasn't an arrogant ass like the others.

Yea even if he won he still wouldnt beable to compete on the show anymore. So it was wise decision on his part. Not to get hurt even more.
Yea, i agree, i hadnt looked at it from that angle. I just started to feel like Kalib was in over his head. Kendall just had more heart and im glad he won. he seems like a good guy on the show. He might not be the best fighter but he has the heart. He took some good shots and you could tell, he was going to fight till the end.
As for Kalib. Maybe hes just not ultimate fighter material. I dont think he will be back. I believe Dana and the boys put a lot into these shows and when you see guys not taking second chances or utilizing the ones they got, he gets angry, this could be them burning those bridges. :(

Exactly, if this is the future of the UFC I may end up watching golf.

Watching TUF is like watching pee wee hockey clubs fighting for the championship and who ever wins that gets a contract to the AHL.

You know if they picked better guys they would have to burn briges. Or atleast guys that know what to do. The coaches shouldnt have to be screaming to whole time tell them evey thing to do. During the fight.
