UFC 115 will be just like UFC 99 but in a diferent way. Rich is gonna apply a in and out gameplan focusing on leg and body kicks. Chuck is gonna be looking for his straight right and obviously his overhand right.

Round 1.

Starts of with a show of respect a decent feeling out process. Franklin is getting the better of the exchanges on his bike but Liddell will start to pick it up in the last 2 minutes.

Franklin takes the round.

Round 2.

Start of at a calm pace compared to the end of Round 1 slowly picks up. Franklin lands a nice shot that seem to wobble Liddell and he is starting to look like the Chuck from UFC 97. Getting over confident Franklin turns it up and Liddell lands a big right. LIDDELL SMELLS BLOOD! Liddell is pushing the pace as Franklin back into the cage defending from an onslaught that gives Tito Ortiz horrible flashbacks. Franklin is bleeding fromt he nose, Franklin shoots in for the take down and doesn't get it but clinches long enough to recover. Franklin stays on the outside for the reminder of the round on wobbled legs.

Liddell takes Round 2.

Round 3.

Both fighters know this is the one. Chuck keeps looking for the highlight KO while Franklin decides to continue working the legs and even goes for a few take downs. Liddell stuffs 2 and throws a devestating overhand right that misses Franklin by inches. It has become clear that Chuck is slightly behind so he shoots for a takedown of his own. It ends up being pushed against the cage as Liddell land small and ineffective punches to Franklin's body a head. 2 minutes remain and they go into a frenzy. Throwing bombs back and forth Franklin lands another left kick to the body and grabs Liddell's legs. Franklin manages to get the takedown but in typical fashion Chuck get's back to his feet quickly. The last minute is full of energy as the crowd chants "CHUCK LIDDELL!" they go toe to toe once again Franklin exchanges a little but thinking that he is ahead he clinches with Chuck and lands little punches. Chuck looks frustrated and desperatley attempts to seperate he manages to get free with 15 seconds remaining. He runs in like a maniac catches 1 leg kick but is unable to clip the mobilizing Franklin. At the end of the round Chuck and Franklin raise there hands in victory embrace eachother in a show of respect and Liddell slightly limps back to his corner with red welts on the right side of his body. Franklin's nose is broken and bloody.

Franklin takes the 3rd round for the win.

At the end of the night it has become clear that Chuck will never be the Champion again. He is an old dog who can't learn new tricks but can give an awesome fight to the fans with a fighter on his level. No talks of retirement but Liddell steps down as a Title Contender.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, this seems like a likely scenario.

The only thing unlikely in this scenario is the crowd yelling 'chuck liddell', people chant 'Chuck! Chuck!" instead.

I think you have a hard time beliving this onsidering you scored it a split decision. Or you don't understand scoring/judging very well.
Err admittedly the judging does sometimes confuse me. Franklin wins 1 and 3 and Liddell wins 2. So that a unanimous decision?

Sorry LOL I will edit. That being said you have a Liddell AVY doesn't surprise your butthurt by my prediction.

Spot on, save for round 2. I see this playing out more like Liddell v. Jardine, and Chuck never connecting with the big right.

Chuck will chase, Rich will use angles to attack the lower body, and Rich will take it via SD, as 1/3 judges will score it for Chuck for octagon control / aggression.

Not this time, rich can't afford to throw many leg kicks in this fight. The obvious game plan for chuck is to look for the knockout, trade smart combos with rich and most importantly score the take down every time he gets the chance. Not that chuck is going to make this a ground fight by any means, but these take downs will force rich to look for the finish or lose on points cause legs kicks won't be enough to win rounds if chuck can get him down.

I think Rich will work Liddell's wide stance alot and keep him guessing. When Chuck thinks it's going to the leg he catches it to the ribs when he thinks he's getting it in the ribs he get's pecked with average yet accurate striking and when he thinks he is gonna get punches he get's kicked in the leg.

Liddell is always one shot away from winning as Wandy was and it wouldn't terribly surprise me if he won by KO/TKO. This is just my prediction and I want to see how close I can come on record.

Chuck will be taking this fight im happy to say. Dude obviously had a fire lit under himself as you could see in his recent pics. Chuck is in shape probably the ungriest he's ever been for a win and simply won't let a Jardine esque fight happen again. Chuck is gonna give Franklin more than he can handle. I wouldnt be surprised if it looks like Chuck vs Belfort.

Chuck will use his angles and light Franklin up all night long. I see Chuck getting back to his full arsenal aswell and not just looking for that one big shot.

lol at being "butthurt." I was just saying your grasp on judging isn't great. It's cool though. A lot of people make that mistake, you're not the first and you won't be the last. Cool prediction. I obviously hope you're wrong but I've got nothing against Rich and as long as it's an exciting fight I'll be happy.

Ya sorry don't mean to come across as pissy.

For the record I am a Liddell fan also. One of the biggest supporters going into UFC 97 (look back if you want) don't know though that fight just completely sucked my faith away. He didn't even look like Chuck Liddell he looked like Mark Coleman wearing Iceman shorts.

Going into UFC 97 there was lot's of talk about Chuck evolving as a fighter taking this make seriously etc etc but in the end nothing changed or improved at all, in fact he got worse. Rashad's KO might have been more devastating but I feel like Chuck was winning up until that point. Who knows though this has been a long time off and the pics I have seen CHUCK IS IN SHAPE.

Not really even a huge Franklin fan ether this is just my prediction. Unfortunately I see Liddell living out the rest of his fights in Hughes fashion, Semi-Retired.

All good man. I probably came off like a prick in my initial post as well. So apologies here.

I'd throw out his UFC 97 performance. Not making excuses for him but following the Rashad KO I think he came back too quickly and he wasn't mentally into that fight thanks to Dana pressuring him into retirement. Now he's had 14 months off, should be healed, didn't let himself get out of shape, and has had more time to work with Howard Davis to actually improve his striking defense and movement.

I like the Franklin match up for Chuck but he's got to stop relying solely on his hands. He needs to get back to using his kicks and needs to start using his wrestling to do damage and not just score points. He was saying all the right things during the media call today that made me believe he'll win this fight.

Biggest thing he needs to do is make Franklin pay for all the kicks he's going to throw. If he does that and just doesn't allow Rich to batter his legs and body then I think he'll win.

I'm a Liddell supported through and through. I'm pretty much talking myself into a huge disappointment following the fight but whatever. If he gets KO'd or even loses a close decision, he should probably give it up for good. But Franklin isn't a young quick fighter like Rashad and Shogun were. Like Liddell, his best days are likely behind him.

nice write up but I think you're wrong.

I see liddell tagging franklin early on and getting the TKO by the 2nd round.

Two fighters I love... I see the first round as a lot of respect and circling, but the second round, Rich will get more aggressive, and will get caught by Chuck's right hand.
