yea definatley not a good fight, they both dissapointed me, especially with matt having to be carted off to the hospital after that...he wont make it long in the UFC if he gets rocked that easy

Mike was a total disappointment to me. A self-proclaimed "street fighter" that closes his eyes and turns his back on his opponent? Strange.

As for Matt, he's a bit more confusing. Obviously, the guy can take some shots (although his chin was never truly tested in his fight with Mike), and when he hurt his arm in training, it was because he didn't tap when he couldn't get out of the armbar and twisted the wrong way, so he can take pain fairly well, and doesn't seem to give up quickly. However, his punches seemed really lacking, and he has NO submission technique. There were at least 3 occasions in his fight where he could have easily put Mike away with a guillotine choke, but didn't even attempt one. He also needs to be MUCh more agressive with his striking. Even though he turned Mike's face into raw meat, he seemed to be holding back.

I wasn't impressed. Same thing with Ed's fight last week. Just not as impressive as I expected him to be. :dunno:

That fight was the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. You guys are right, Mike looked like a little bitch with the windmilling arms and swinging with his eyes closed.

Even my wife was like, "what the hell is this?!" Shit she could have beat Matt's ass! And you mean to tell me that "world class", "olympic caliber" wrestler, Matt couldn't hang for 10 mins without getting faint and feeling like he was going to puke? What does that say about his conditioning?

I'll be interested to see what Matt brings next time he fights in the semi's, probably not much.

well is matt really a world class caliber wrestler? He is for the deaf but how does that stack up for regular olympic wrestlers?

I couldve seen[and have] a better fight on the street than this one turned out to be. ultimate fighter my foot, I feel lied to. I dont tune in "ultimate fighter" to watch that kind of garbage.

I will say I enjoyed the other fights with forrest and the others Im not remembering their names right now, but cabbage ate way too many punches though. he stood there like silvias punching bag for the most part.

The last 2 weeks were just that, the last 2 weeks. It was tito's best against ken's worst (Matt/mike) and ken's best against tito's worst (ed/danny). That's not justification for mike wimpin out, but you understand why. These 2 guys are the two guys that will probably win the whole competition.

Both of them weren't great fights, just a show of the dominance of Matt and Ed.

 for the fights
 for the winners

not impressed at alll,

i think thats wat mike gets for runnin his mouth, makin fun of matt not cool at all. for a self proclaimed street fighter he looks like he would have better luck beatin up drunks at the bar and to be a bjj guy he sure gave his back to matt alot, to bad matt couldnt capitilize on it. when mike did have matt in position to apply a submission to weak to finish matt off.

true he did not represent his trainer well at all. whoever trained him for 2yrs must feel embarrassed for being his trainer. I know I would if it was me.

NOT JUST MATT AND MIKE BUT ALL THE TUF3 FIGHTERS REALLY SUCK. IF THEY WERE TO FIGHT ANY OF THE FIGHTER FROM THE PREVIOUS TUF SEASONS THEY WOULD GET KILLED.

This was indeed a sloppy fight. I have to give props to Matt for having the heart to stick it out and win the fight. His arm injury prevented him from working his game the way he would normally have. Mike was pathetic, he looked like a very inexperienced fighter. He also seemed inordinately afraid of Matts punches. If he wants to be a MMA fighter he better get used to pain.

I was also surprised with Mike Nickels. He claimed to be a tough ass streetfighter and wound up hardly fighting back and getting his ass handed to him by Matt Hamill. Matt Hamill is in a whole other world, in my opinion he would've won the whole thing if injuries didn't mess him up.

Why didn't he take Mike out with a guillitone choke?? He wanted to prove that he could fight standup or something.. He also let Mike get back on his feet when he clearly could have kept him and controlled him on the ground... Something was wrong with Matt clearly.. I just do not know if he has the fininshing skills needed in this sport... He sure is tough >>>
Also Chritian and Tait are pussies for backing out of that opportunity to fight.... Why is everyone so scared of Bisping??? Hamill could take Bisping.

I'm not sure but I think that the nature of Matt's injury made it impossible for him to finish him with the choke.

I thought that fight was a disgrace to not only the fighters but to the UFC. I mean comeon, that was probably the sloppiest fight Ive ever seen. It looks like you picked 2 guys randomly off the street with no fighting experience and threw them in the octagon. :dunno:

Mike was the real joke... some street fighter he is
