It seems Tyson has signed an agreement with Pride....and I don't see him as strictly being a promoter or announcer since he can't talk..you think he may be trying to fight MMA?? Holy Crap.....Here is the article

On the last stop of their 3-day media tour, Pride Fighting Championships saved the best for last. At the Fox Sports Grill in Irvine, California last night, the promotion announced two of the pairings for their October 21st, United States debut, as well as, many of the other fighters slated to participate.

In somewhat of a surprise move, Pride announced that heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko will face Mark “The Hammer” Coleman and Middleweight Grand Prix champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will square off with Coleman’s teammate Kevin Randleman.

With the already announced participation of Coleman and Rua, it was highly speculated that the two would be paired up when Pride debuts in Las Vegas. Rua has been very vocal about wanting a rematch since being upset by Coleman in February earlier this year. Pride instead opted for the Emelianenko-Coleman rematch.

Perhaps the biggest surprise at the press conference was the attendance and announcement of former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. Apparently Tyson has entered into some sort of agreement with the Japanese promoter.

Neither he nor Pride would give any specific details as to their partnership when Tyson was asked if he will be fighting for the promotion in the future. But just his presence alone at the press conference is sure to ignite plenty of speculation.

Also announced, although no further pairings were stated, were the intended participation of several other Pride stars for “The Real Deal” fight card at the Thomas & Mack Center. The card now also features Josh Barnett, Kazuyuki Fujita, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Phil Baroni, Vitor Belfort, and middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva.

With UFC president Dana White’s recent comments in a Canadian interview in regards to an already announced bout between UFC champion Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva in the UFC in November, “I don't even know if Silva's going to happen… the Japanese are very hard to do business with and you never know what's going to happen,” and Pride’s announcement of Silva on their October 21st U.S. debut, it now seems apparent that the bout between the two champions is off.

He would be a good striker and good at conditioning but he will have no submissions, grappling, kicks, etc. Plus hes on a very cold streak I can't see him winning anything unless its Henry Miller .

good conditioning? Tyson? bad stamina is one of his problems...

this is a joke Mike is way over the hill...he cant compete at his sport now he is entering another one....it takes away from MMA....

Tyson is a shot fighter a shadow of his former self and should not be fighting....anybody whos a boxing fan would know that...

Oh yea, it would be cool seeing tyson fights.. but he is not stepping into an MMA ring unless the check is one of the fattest ever offered.. and he'll get it too.. just cause of the drawing power his name still holds.. think of how many boxing fans who think boxing is so much better will tune in to see tyson beat up a "karate guy" and how many people who hate tyson just want to see him get whooped.. lots of ways he will draw large numbers

thats all Tyson is these days...a big draw...a circus attraction for fans who dont want to let go....If he cant beat a Mcbride what can he do vs an Emelianenko, Nog, or Cro Cop?

Yes, I'm never trusting Dana White again on any matches that are rumored or he says might happen, I'm only trusting him on the ones that are made official .

mike tyson mma?

whats up guys i've just been readin some of ya'lls stuff and all i have to say is what the hell is mike tyson thinkin. Hes already at a disadvantage being a boxer and tryin mma ,but PRIDE he could at least start off with ufc which really isnt as hardcore no offence to ufc i watch all of em and love em (stoked about the Liddel Sobral fight and lets hope Griffin Bonnar 2 is like last time) but ufc guys go to pride and usually get beat and sent back. Lets just hope Tyson doesnt talk a bunch of trash like he usually does cuz this isnt boxing its the real deal and he could get hurt.

Well for those that don't remember or never saw it, he really wants to fight Bob Sapp in K-1.

He got into the ring and they almost duked it out as i remember.

I think sapp would kill him in MMA just out of peer strength.
