Gotta like Saunders balls to ask for this fight on less than 3 days notice.

yea, love his balls

dunno how much chance he has of winning though, but you never know. He has a dangerous guard with those long legs but I really doubt he has what it takes to sub Fitch when nobody else could. He's more of a threat on the feet, but this is Fitch we're talking about here.

I would absolutely love it if Saunders somehow managed to pull off the upset here. I'm just not a fan of Jon Fitch and I was looking forward to Thiago Alves ending his recent, boring run.

However, three days notice to fight a guy like Jon Fitch, that can't be good. Some people predicted that Jake Ellenberger's wrestling would be too much for Saunders, so how is he supposed to cope with Fitch?

I take hope from the fact that we saw Fitch get tagged late in his last fight and he was rocked, Saunders can definitely finish a fight if he gets you to that position.

But, Fitch to win by, yep, unanimous decsion.

I really hope Saunders can pull this off, but fighting Fitch on such short notice isn't a good idea. Though Alves is Saunders team mate so maybe they trained a lot together for the Fitch fight.

Saunders was already training for a fight when Alves was forced to pull out so it's not like he just started trainign for it. He hasn't been training for Fitch but Fitch hasn't been training for Saunders.

Saunders and Alves are both at ATT but Saunders mainly trains out of Orlando whereas Alves does not so I don't know how much time he has spent training with Thiago Alves.

I can only asume that Fitch will take a UD.......again
I think he will play this safe. If he would have fought Alves i think he would have been more agressive, considering that the winner of that one could have become the challenger for the belt.
However, i don't think that the winner of this one will get the title shot. Fitch knows he could lose a lot if he doesn't win this fight. on the other hand...if he gets a dominant win, he might be in line for the belt...
I'm taking Fitch by UD.

If anybody noticed Fitch was a bit more leaner than usual. He was obviously even more well conditioned and ready to take down Alves and grind em out. With Saunders I still see the same game plan. Why stand with a Muay Thai fighter with CRAZY knees.

Anybody see Ben staggering Fitch, but Fitch as usual taking him down and grinding out another win...haha. Either way I think Saunders is more hyped about this fight than Fitch is.

This is a good fight for Saunders. He has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. Losing to Fitch after taking the fight on such short notice isn't a big deal. However, a win over Fitch would be huge for his career. I can definatley see why Saunders asked for the fight. I voted for Saunders to win the fight, but only because I'm a fan of his. The most likely outcome though is for Fitch to lay his way to another UD. Hopefully I'm wrong and the fight ends with Fitch laying on his back looking up at the lights after taking several knees to the chin.

Let's do this Killa B!
