hi everyone,

i'm new to this forum, and i just wanted to introduce myself and start things off with a question.

i recently saw "the smashing machine" with mark kerr"

we all witnessed how jacked up he was on painkillers just to get him through his days. my question is:

"how common is the use of prescription painkillers in the sport of mma?"

those of you that are competing on a regular basis, do you come across it regularly?

my question is more for curiosity...it's just something that has intrigued me since watching that movie. i've been training for a very short time now, and i can just imagine the damage that can be done.

anyway, thanks for the time

Unless it's a real serious injury, I can't see them taking painkillers too much. Of course I could be wrong.

i dont see them taking any serious pain meds..because they are very addictive and the fighters know that it will hurt them in prperation for a fight more than it helps
