I think I should review the various mass parents companies of the MMA promotions have done right or wrong and led to success:
-Zuffa: Bought out a bleeding UFC and turned it into a thriving promotion. This was followed by the buy out of the WEC, WFA, and PRIDE, resulting in one mega promotion.
-SVSE: Not only owns Strikeforce, but also the San Jose Sharks, HP Pavilion, Worcester Sharks, and SAP Open Tournament. They won't have problems anytime soon.
-FEG: Owns DREAM and K-1, the world's leading kickboxing organization. Right now has the Asian market to themselves.
-DSE: Owned PRIDE FC, Hustle Pro Wrestling, and DEEP. While they owned success, Yakuza ties sent the company out.
-ProElite: Had short term success with EliteXC and also bout out companies Icon Sport, Cage Rage, King of the Cage, and Rumble on the Rock. However, after EliteXC's closer and King of the Cage's buy out ProElite was bout out and plans to revive it are in progress.

Not really sure what you want discussed.

Yes, the UFC is the biggest MMA organization...and Zuffa is the smartest.

I was trying to cover how the various parent companies have been either wise or foolish over time!

I sure would like to hear from any European or Asian members about companies in those markets. Surely there is some one at least attempting to compete with the ufc.

I hope M-1 global is not the only competition dana has to worry about. That's just too easy.

I think DREAM and Sengoku have the Asian market to themselves. As for other Eurpopean promotions besides M-1 Global, Ultimate Challenge UK has taken over where Cage Rage left off after it was closed down with ProElite.

Well the UCUK has competition in the form of the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA), so there is some mini competition on the British Isles!
