It's not hard to tell he comes from the same place as Bisping and Hardy. lol They all are a little more cocky than they should be. However they are all good fighters. I'm still pulling for Koscheck though.PC:How is it going Paul?
PD:Things are going really well, thanks.
PC:While you were training for your last fight, the gym you were training at burned down. What's the status of the gym now?
PD:The gym has been rebuilt and is better than ever. We have our original team plus a whole range of new coaches. For more information go to www.mikesgym.nl.
PC: Dan Hardy gave a valiant effort in his fight against Georges St-Pierre, but he came up short. What did you think of his efforts and the fight in general?
PD:I thought GSP fought a safe and predictable fight and I think Dan showed his resilience, but I feel he would of felt he could of done more while standing.
PC:How is preparation going for your UFC 113 fight against Josh Koscheck?
PD:It's going really well. I've been training very focused and dedicated for this fight.
PC:You feel Carlos Condit bitched out of his fight with you. Do you still feel that way and are you past that fight or would you still like a chance to fight him?
PD:Why would I fight Carlos right now? I am working on a different path right now and Carlos does not figure in that. But when the time comes, he'll get what he would have gotten in the last scheduled fight; that is getting knocked out.
PC:Koscheck feels he should have been fighting GSP instead of Hardy. Now he's trying to use you as a springboard for a rematch with GSP, but I know you are no springboard for anyone.
PD:Koscheck's best bet is to just focus on this fight or it's gonna be a much quicker ending for him than even I could of hoped for. When I KO him, then he can springboard to whereever the **** he wants, but it won't be a title shot.
PC:I think if you hit anyone solid, you can KO them. Koscheck has greatly improved hands, but do you feel he has one-punch knockout power like you have?
PD:Obviously he does not have the one-puch KO power I have, but he is game to trade more, so I don't think he has a solid chin. I have faith that I can be hit, and return faster and harder if need be, but I don't plan on being hit.
PC:How much do you think the Hazelett fight put to rest the perception that any good grappler would just take you down and submit you?
PD:Not much, as Hazelett didn't have great takedowns. I still have much to prove.
PC:Are you looking forward to fighting in Canada? Is this one of the places you enjoy fighting?
PD:I enjoy a fight anywhere. I love the Canadian people though; real happy, friendly folk.
PC:Good luck against Koscheck my man. I'm sure we will be speaking before then. By the way, my man King Mo speaks very highly of you. Is there anything you want to say in closing?
PD:Shout out to King Mo! Thanks to all my supporters, sponsors, coaches, family, friends and fans.
