If Rampage has indeed renewed his contract. First he needs to lose to Rashad then he needs to fight Jon Jones, man would i love to see that fight. Discuss.

Awesome idea. I love this idea. I know Jon Jones is the man with all the hype around him right now, and I usually try to avoid baing swayed by that, but I can't help it. I think his striking is too unique for Page. I am curious if Jones Greco throws would work well against page...

I love fights in which I can't decide immediately who I think is going to win. :D

I agree. Im a huge Jon Jones fan but i want to see him tested. In all his fights to date i didn't think people stood a chance but Rampage, dudes a gamer in every fight hes in.

I think this would be an edge of your seat type of fight that i really want to watch.

This would be a great fight. I think it'd be interesting to see a very good boxer like rampage go up against Jones' un orthodox style of striking.

And also Jones' wrestling and throws. Rampage is very strong and pretty big for a LHW so it'd be interesting to see how they worked

Dana just mentioned in his video blog, that he will give Jones 3 more fights with the similar rankings of guys like Vera.. dunno where he wants to find them :confused02: but after that he would throw him in with the likes of Rashad, Rampage, Shogun and Lyoto.

Yeah i watched that video blog as well. That would mean three fights out of guys like..

Forrest
Jardine
Lil Nog
Thiago Silva
Ryan Bader
Couture
Franklin

Not that this list is anything to sneeze at, I just feel that if JJ beats 1 or 2 of them convincingly its time to go ahead and make the big fights happen.

I think if this fight happened we would really get to see where Jon Jones head is at. See if hes a smart fighter.

Up till now hes been able to beat guys with his weird style and his take down. But get in close with rampage and he could very well turn your lights off. I think for Jones to win this fight he would have to really use his head.

The more i think of this the more i think that if he could beat rampage he could really be the champ.

I shouldn't anything, cause now i really want this fight to happen :thumb02:

i dont like this fight yet. even if rampage loses then he should face winner of lil nog/forrest.

yes i wouldnt mind getting page that rematch either, he likely wants it and it would be a good draw.

Jones should fight Couture. that will test his mental game and game planning. if he can toss Randy down like nothing then ppl wont have a choice but to give him a top 5 the fight after.

If Dana said that than I have no idea what he could be thinking. 3 more fights? He needs one more fight against someone like Thiago Silva. If he wins decisively, he is DEFINITELY in the same league as Rashad/Rampage and Griffin/Lil Nog. At least give him the loser of one of these fights, stop bottom feeding for the Vera's of the division.

I like this Idea of coarse, and its hard to think who would win....

IF they fought 10 times i see Rampage being able to pull off the KO, and others Jones because able to avoid the big shots and finish in a good decision.

It would be a good fight to see how deep Jones can go... And if he can handle the level of Rampages Wrestling/Heavy Hands

Great match-up.
I would give an advantage to Rampage reguarding his experience, plus he is a better boxer. And he deffinetly has some KO power in his hands.
But that's it imo.
We have to take in consideration, how far Jones has come in such a short time. He is improving at a very fast pace. And now since he is training under Greg Jackson, i think he is developing into one of the best fighters in the world.
I would give Jones the esge in wrestling, speed, cardio. Plus his style could cause some big problems for Rampage.
And another big factor could be, he is hungry, he wants to be succesfull and i don't know if Rampage has the same desire right now.
I'm waiting for him to fight Rashad so we can see where he is right now.

I can't believe people are serious about Jon Jones easily beating Rampage.

Rampage has some nice crisp boxing with some sick power, if he gets close and lands Jon Jones is KOed, he has impressive grappling, he was holding his own against Dan Henderson (and we know about his greco prowess).

I just can't see Jon Jones beating him.

Rampage KO/TKO or if Jon Jones uses the Keith Jardine tactic Decision.
