To me, this would be a great match-up that I doubt we'll ever see. I do not think Randy will come out of retirement, and I believe Ken will retire soon, especially if he beats Tito and he doesn't have much of a reason to keep going. But look at the similarities. Same age, similar body types, and both solid strikers and both have decent standup. However, besides striking, they have different styles. Randy is more of a wrestler, while Ken is a submission specialist. They're not an opposite style either, so it would be very interesting to see.

Who do you think will win?

This is really a no brainer you got Ken who has got dominated by Tito twice and Randy who utterly dominated Tito. Of course this is not apples to apples so i'll just say Randy would kick Kens ass no questions asked.

u should have made this poll about them fighting each other in their primes.
agreed, excpet the shamrock hater would hate on shamrock no matter what you said.

But watch soem the ken shamrock highlight videos, he was FAST and dominant, sometime he would be dominant and then loose that that happens.

I also like randy and this one is hard for me to call, so all ill say is the "prime" shamrock would definetly be a challenge for randy

i wouldnt call myself a shamrock hater..but randy in his prime would destroy shamrock in his prime..in ufc 40 ken was at his best and tito blew him out of the octogon, and right after that randy blew him out of the octogon..ken struggles against guys that are stronger and better wrestlers...this would look just like tito vs ken

not to start a fight with jdun but did you really say that?

at UFC 40 ken had a blown out acl on top of some other injuries and he got fixed for shamrock VS tito 2 which then was cut short too early.

UFC 40 was not ken at his best and thats been provenin many interviews and documented.

it wouldnt matter if they were 10 years old, 25, 40, hell when they are 60+ .....The Natural would have, and will always reign suppreme....my 2 cents
your probaby right, and im my post i never said kenwould win, just he would give randy a workout, in his prime that is.

They both have the "heart of a lion" i have to admit that, i dont see either one given in easy but inthe end shamrock might get warn down by randys GNP unless he pulls off a crazy sub like her "used" to do.

yea ur right about his knee..but i was referring to his age and him being in his prime..i believe when ken faught fujita it was after ufc 40 and that fight was the most impressive of his career..but i dont buy into that crap about a fighter saying he was hurt for the fight after the fact..if ur not 100% dont fight..or if u decide to fight dont bring up the fact that u were injured, because all it is, is an excuse..it might be a valid excuse, but i think alot of fighters say "well im kinda hurt, and everyone will know that so if i lose ill have an excuse"..and they kinda exploit that

we could argue forever :)

your right, but only to a point, see shamrock had wasnted tito for so long, in fact he came back to UFC mainly for tito.

I think his "heart" and "pride" did not allow him to pull out of a fight he has wanted since Guy VS Tito.

Not to mention the fight speaks for itself, shamrock is a ground expert and purposly was avoiding working much from the ground, because he really couldnt.

Last thing i want to do is make excuses for ken but i beleive that is true, you want to hear "excuses"?

how bout gracie saying he trained to hard for matt and that he expected it to go the way it did, so basically he expected to loose and still fought anyway.
