I dont know how many of you have subscribed the the franklin equation but laltly rich has been doing something where he lets fans ask him questions about anything and he respond in a email called Franklin's Hit+Run=(what ever the subject is) and sends it to all his subscribers.

in the latest one he was asked about his religion. here is what he said:

Rich's Answer: Many people have asked about my faith, and I am not trying to press anything on anyone...this is a slice of my life. My parents began going to and Independent Baptist Church when I was young, and I came to know Jesus at the age of 5. I attend a non-denominational church now, but the minister has roots in a Baptist church as well. There is much legalism in many religions and churches, and it is something I try to avoid. Christians often judge and do things according to tradition, and it turns many "could be" followers of Christ away. I am not perfect, and the public light causes heavy scrutiny on my every action at times. A reading I like to keep in mind is Romans Ch. 7 verses 15-25. Paul talks about his inward struggle with sin. Although he wants to do the right thing, he fails. I feel like I come up short often, and every Christian should. If you are a non-believer reading this, take a l ook at the verses..it's something to keep in mind the next time you run into a "holier than thou" person.
Rich is a pretty deep guy and a great person.

Rich was always a good guy, though I didn't know he was a christian. I'll be even more behind him now. Rich has been down the last couple years. I hope he continues to put up great fights

Rich is highly intelligent, as you can see from his clear-headed interpretation of his faith and how it impacts the way he lives every day.

This perspective should be a template for everybody who considers themselves a Christian.

I like Rich Franklin, but what a silly interpretation of that reading. Paul essentially faults the sin that resides within him for making poor decisions rather than taking control and responsibility for his own actions.

It's not Pauls fault, he wants to live by Gods rules, he just has this pesky sin within him that controls what he does, and what he does is not what he wants to do.

God Bless Rich franklin and his family. This man really has a great perspective. I have a heck of a lot of respect for Rich, and I think I agree with him on this subject mostly.

It has taken me a long time to define what I believe in and don't believe in. I have never appreciated those people who say that they have the answers, the only answers, and if you don't follow those answers, then it's Hellfire. I don't think any of us know for sure what's to come, so perhaps it's best to let people come to these decisions and beliefs when they come to them rather than pushing them.

Thats a very healthy attitude and it reminds me of the merits of religion and (some) religous people. I'm a hardcore atheist and get pissed off whenever i see a creationist video or hear about fundamentalists from both Islam and Christianity, therefore I'm usually pissed off about religion and tend to get a negative attitude towards religious people but thats kinda unfair of me tbh. But its good to be reminded sometimes that most of the religous ppl are just ppl like everyone else, with their good sides and their bad sides just like me.

I originally liked Rich from his "Franklin Equations" in Ultimate MMA magazine. However the more I researched on the guy the more I see him as a role model. I purchased the book Power Achieving - JT Stewart from his site, and it literally changed my life.

It's a quick read and doesn't really talk about religion at all. It's easy to see where Rich's attitude towards life comes from after reading this book. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Simply becoming a fan of Rich Franlin has had an enormous effect on my life.
