Say what you want about Tito but the guy is a damm good coach even though the outcome of the fight tonight. You can tell that he is there to really help the guys and make a diference.

couldn't agree more. After last season, and seeing how terrible of a coach Rampage was anyone would look good though.

I just said this in another thread but do people really think that Tito or any coach is gonna make a drastic difference in anybody that is fighting on TUF???

Sure the fighters on TUF will learn some new things but nothing that will make them world beaters in a few weeks........

But with that said Tito is really there to help whereas Rampage was there last year to get paid for showing up.

Tito actually caring about his fighters and trying to make them better is a breath of fresh air after......

The thing with making the guy (sorry can't remember his name right now) break the triangle after he lost, while it was the last thing he wanted to do, he'll never forget that and always at least try to get out. I'm not a fan of Tito the fighter, but I have to say I'm impressed by his coaching so far.

I've known Tito was a good coach since he was on season 3, not to mention it seems like he really does care about these guys, where as someone like Rampage who was a terrible coach to begin with was very open and admitted freely he didn't give a shit about the fighters.

When did Rampage say he didn't give a shit. I must have missed that.

I just watched the episode. I agree i think Tito is a great Coach. Good for Tito its rare that he is getting any kind of good attention so it really is a breath of fresh air when you find out he isnt a complete dick head.

Mickinney was my first pick to win this Tuf... Safe to say im bummed out he lost but he might still come back. :praise01:

Glad this was posted already. I've like Tito as a coach since the last time...but I never liked HIM. I think after last night, I have to begrudgingly say that I'm starting to. I don't like his fighter persona, but really, how much of that is real. From what I have seen (what they choose to show), have read, and have heard from guys who have trained with him...if you're in his circle, or on his team, he would walk to the ends of the earth for you.

He's a good coach, I don't think anyone can really deny that.

Clay or whatever his name is was acting like a miserable sod the whole episode and I'd have thought he'd be a bit more willing to learn how to get out of the submission he just tapped out to.

I pretty much dislike Tito in any of his other roles, fighter, commentator, public persona etc., but I love him as a coach. He was great in TUF with Shamrock and he seems awesome now. I don't understand how he can be such a douchebag the rest of the time and talk trash and make excuses when he loses but so great when he coaches. Oh well.

I am a Tito hater, but I have to say that I think he's an excellent coach. Perhaps he should consider doing this for a living at some point in the future. Heck, I feel like I have a chance of getting out of a triangle now after watching TUF last night. I think that Chuck's coaching efforts look really weak compared to Tito's.

Also, I think that the UFC is purposely using "weak" doors at their gym. Rampage shredded that door like it was made of paper. I know he is strong and all, but if that door had been solid oak...I could have sworn I saw a preview of another door **** occurring in the gym this season too.

Dana made a joke about that after Rampage did it, he said something like "Great now everyone knows how cheap our doors are" or something like that.

Exacly, the first thing I thought after the show was "Hey, I could escape triangles now." :D

And about the doors - I too do think that they are purposely putting "weak" doors (although, how can it not be on purpose - it's not like Dana doesn't know what he has, lol), but I think it's because it's a gym - why would you need some top notch doors in a place where you basically need them just for the sake of it? It's not your home, the outdoors are safe enough, and it's warm.
