There are a lot of threads about A. Silva's performance last night. Lots of anger and emotion, rightfully so. Moving on to solutions and what not, how bout keeping Silva on the free cards? Dana's heated rhetoric about putting him on prelims is overboard. But keeping Silva on free shows wouldn't be overboard and Silva hasn't been a PPV draw which is why he is always paired with either a novelty aspect or other fighters who can draw. This time there was quite a lot to boost Silva: Hughes, Out door Abu Dhabi, Penn, NOT 1 BUT 2 Title fights for the price of oooone!

Meh: Just put him on free TV. Why take the chance of buying his fights when they are either quick or shitty?

why?? if anything he might be a bringer draw in the future, something like Lesnar is. They pay to watch him obliderate someone or hope he gets KTFO. I can see Silva being in the same boat with a few fans, watching him so they can see him get beat.

IMHO, I'd much rather see him have a quick fight than a shitty one. I honestly think he would be better served knocking a guy out in 20 seconds, than pulling what he did last night. The guy could retain all credibility, yet not get bored, like some people maintain is what happened. Go in there, knock the dude out, go have some beers and celebrate. What he did however was foolish and uncalled for.

The UFC will either match Silva up against GSP or some larger difficult opponent. It will sell because people will be either still fans of Silva or hoping to watch him lose.
