Penn wasn't Ko'd or anything, so he's still above Gsp imo. Silva was a jackass, not a worse fighter, so he's still above Gsp and penn.

I really hope you guys are joking when you say penn is above gsp. if you are actually serious then you have issuses espcially since gsp already smashed bj and bj just lost tonight so clearly gsp is above him

If we're talking actual Pound for Pound rankings, Penn drops, while Silva likely stays where he is (though he's moved up the Jackass rankings). If we're talking biased fans who refuse to think logically, I can see how BJ losing to a complete underdog might result in his being ranked higher than GSP, who hasn't lost a round, let alone a fight since 2007. Honestly, people... I like BJ as much as the next guy, but tonight hurt him. Not that he'd be ranked above a fighter who dominated him for five rounds and gave him multiple concussions to begin with.

Penn's prior loss to Gsp shouldn't count for a p4p list since they're in different weight classes. Penn has never been Ko'd like Gsp was, sure he lost a battle tonight, but so did Gsp the night against Serra, except he got rocked, whereas penn looked like he just had a bad night. Thats why I say Penn is better lbs for lbs since he doesn't get KO'd.. simple as that. Give penn a few more fights to redeem himself like Gsp did, and then check back what I think.

That serra fight was a fluke, and GSP never got dominated ever unlike Penn. Not to mention Edgar is a natural 145'er.

I bet you have Nick Diaz above GSP too right? haha...

did it look like i was jokin dummie?

bj penn is a pound for pound better fighter then gsp IN MY OPINION, am i entitled to one?

yeah penn got beat twice by gsp, but penn moved up in weightclasses, he challenged himself, has gsp done that lately?

Yep I got Nick above Fedor and Silva also, just because he's in my sig. Nothing is a fluke, Serra knocked him out. Hence why Gsp is so tight in his gnp now to never let that happen again. Thanks for the effort though.

your a tool
so according to your logic penn can go up and loose 40 times at ww but since its not his natural weight he shouldnt drop down on the p4p list.
well penn lost at his natural weight tonight and gsp has won 25 straight rounds iam going to go with gsp is above penn clearly u r a big bj fan

So getting caught via a fluke punch within the blink of an eye is worse than getting your butt handed to you for three or four rounds? And need we even compare BJ's record to that of GSP's? Too many factors, here, which I think are being ignored. I'd also like to think that were GSP to move up, face Silva, and lose, he'd not be afforded the 'Well, he went up in weight, so we can't really count it' treatment, so it's not something I'm willing to allot Penn. I accept your opinion, but I opt to disagree with it, albeit respectfully.

BJ drops a slot for me. I'm one of his biggest fans, but a loss is a loss, and it's not as if he was winning the whole fight then just got knocked out, he lost a decision.

If anything, UFC 112 reconfirms Fedor being #1 for me.

BJ lost, GSP didn't have a good fight with Hardy, and isn't finishing nearly as much as one would hope the top P4P guy would, especially against Hardy level competition, Anderson.. I don't even need to talk about that. Fedor is finishing all his fights coupled with all his other credentials, there's no doubt he's #1, IMO.

1. Fedor
2. Anderson
3. GSP
4. BJ

The judging was awful in the BJ fight but he still has to drop below GSP and Fedor. Thinking Silva looked like garbage is absurd he made a guy who was rolling a lot of the division look like he didn't even know how to fight. This really just cements him as the greatest MMA fighter ever.

Pre ufc 112:

GSP
Penn
Fedor
Silva

now:
GSP
Fedor
Penn
Silva

Still keeping Penn and Silva on top 4 as I believe Penn did the same mistake Sherk did against him and kept striking with a guy with better stand up instead of taking the fight to the ground. As for Silva... well he is even further from top 3 now, but still 4th. As I said on the offical Silvs vs. Maia topic though I actually scored the fight as Draw and could easily see Maia winning it too if you scored 4th round as 10-8 round too.

I'm not big on p4p lists, but wouldn't a loss detrimentally affect BJ's p4p status? And Silva was just a wanker, so yeah I'd say they look something along the lines of:

1. Silva
2. Fedor
3. GSP
4. BJ
