Thoughts?

Here we go again:

1. Fedor needs to fight in the UFC or else there will a question mark on his legacy

LOL. Fedor doesn't care if he fights in the UFC. He also certainly doesn't care what keyboard warriors think of him. He is enjoying his life and doing it his way. The only people who will have question marks on their legacy are the fighters who didn't leave to the UFC to go fight them. Randy already knew this was true, hence why he left to go fight Fedor. Dana White also keeps offering him the most lucrative contract in UFC history. Lastly, why can't the stupid fans just enjoy his fights? Jeezus.

2. GSP is always actively looking to finish his opponents.

Oh get these LULZ out of here. Two submissions in 25 minutes does not qualify. To me a fighter who actively seeks out to finish his opponent is one that goes for KO punches or multiple submissions per round. If they can't get it, they at least try. Someone throwing 3" elbows and holding onto someone for 25 mins with two submission attempts is laughable. Also, Dan Hardy isn't "tough" because he has a mohawk. He has been submitted 3 times and by nobodies.

3. GSP, John Fitch, and Rashad Evans are black belts in BJJ.

If those guys are black belts than I am a freaking red belt. Seriously, do they just give out black belts these days? To me a black belt in BJJ is someone who is a submission specialist. It is not a "back up" to be used when the fight hits the ground. A BJJ black belt WILL go for submissions when the opportunity opens itself. Have you ever even seen Rashad use a single move of BJJ? Nope. Just because he can grapple toe to toe with a BJJ black belt doesn't mean he is one himself. It just means he is a good grappler.

4. Josh Kosheck will be a competitive fight for GSP

HAHA. Sure it will be, if GSP doesn't take the fight seriously and comes in unfocused. Very slim chance of that happening. It will be a vintage Decision win for GSP. Kos cannot do anything to GSP. This will be another "top quality win" for GSP. Haha.
I think he was 'trolling', but still.

Whoever the moron is that posted all that shit should seriously think about never expressing an opinion again. I sure hope this turd was joking cuz that's the only way that this doesn't qualify as retarded. Joke or not, still borderline retarded but at least it's not completely serious if he's joking at least.

I don't agree with anything posted on that forum.
ANd for all that is worth...for me it's worth ZERO!
Why..because in the title it talks about MMA. Wich is huge: a lot of organizations, thousands of fighters, hundredths of events...and all the author could come out with were 4 points of discussions. And 3 of them were talking about GSP.

It's worth nothing for me.
So...for me = EPIC FAIL!

This is what you get when you go to a bodybuilding website. They know nothing about MMA. They may know how to work out each muscle, but that doesn't mean they know MMA. If they knew MMA, they would talk about it on an MMA forum. Stick to what you know.

I had a discussion with a bodybuilder on Facebook one night. It was a friend of mine from back in high school, and honestly, I don't believe he knew anything MMA. We were making predictions, and this cat comes in saying that "Fighter A" will win because of this muscle being bigger than this muscle, and because he doesn't carry much water weight, and all this bodybuilding shit that honestly, left me completely clueless. I don't lift, nor do I care about lifting. Either way, it was seriously a book worth of bodybuilding talk. Needless to say, he was completely wrong, and I couldn't help but laugh.

Therefore, I agree, stick with what you know.

When I ref soccer, and the coaches start yelling about my calls..

I use the line that my dad always uses "Listen, I don't tell you how to coach, so shut up and dont tell me how to ref, and if you do... ill make you go watch the game from the parking lot."

I have had similar discussions with people who are all about weightlifting. They always based their picks on things like size and strength. They are just not too familiar with strategy, styles, and technique.

That is an awesome quote that I will more than likely use now somewhere down the line! :thumb02:

Sounds very much like this moron. He trolls over at reddit. If he was a poster here he probably would have been banned after five minutes.
Yeah that is what I love about this place. The staff does an outstanding job trying to give people second chances and trying to turn their posting habits around, but on the same token, they don't let people run wild and get out of control.

THIS. Love it!:thumb02:
Plus is tick to my first comment about that post on bodybuilding being worthless.

How dumb is that? If you wanna make a case against MMA in general or MMA fans, you could/should make 100 points of discussion to have some credibility...And that's only the beggining. After that, the author should stay in the line of fire to hear the arguments against his theory. Therefore...Credibility ZERO.
The poster on bodybuilding.com - Epic fail !!!

Believe it or not, a lot of them don't just judge fighters based on physique/muscle/strength. It does turn into Sherdog at times, though.

Lmaoo.
