I saw a couple of you talking about this in another thread. I'm convinced the creators of TUF rig shit up to get ratings and whatnot. I don't know many of you agree with me, but since when have I cared if you agree with me  ? (ie, "What's So Great About Matt Hughes?") But anyway here's my opinion, if you agree lemme know and back me up! If you disagree, feel free to do your usual. The biggest rig or whatever you wanna call it recently was Jeremy Jackson getting kicked off the show. Here's my little theory.

He either did it in the hopes of getting caught to get thrown off the show, or it was set-up for ratings, because he acted like it was no big deal that he was getting sent "home" (to his car). If I got kicked outta something like that, after saying how much it meant to me, I would protest a LITTLE bit. I mean c'mon he didn't even complain about it or say how much it sucks or anything in the confessional! It was staged IMO, how did he get caught anyway?? How could Dana have known? How did the fighters know they were in trouble just cuz the person on the phone said "hold up guys don't go start training yet"? Naturally, you would think they might assume it's anything BUT someone getting in trouble, like I don't know maybe an announcement, or a surprise, or anything, especially if no one knew about what Jeremy did. The people who actually make this show, and edit it and everything, are trying way too hard to be liked. And they suck at covering it up too. Don't know bout you all but it sure didn't fool me.

Dana's a ***** anyway for not even sticking around after he told him "pack your bags you're going home". He just scurried off the second he finished his last syllable. Why the f*ck wouldn't Jeremy just have the girl come in the yard and chill with him? That yard is big enough, and everyone was going inside to go to bed anyway. I think if it was me, I'd play it safe and NOT LEAVE, if anything someone would see them out back and just laugh and joke around about it and he might not have gotten kicked off the show for it. Maybe so but regardless of him leaving or her coming in, it was still fake imo. It coulda been real, and if it was then Jeremy is a *****, and so is Dana for scurrying like I said haha.

Did anybody notice how f*cking boring the fight was?? Coincidence? I think not. Boring fight? Hey let's kick the fighter with the least amount of charisma and has almost no camera time because he is boring,(other than Scott Smith who also had almost no camera time, but he was fighting so they couldn't use him, plus he farts on people so that is enough). So kick Jeremy Jackson off the show so the whole episode isn't thought of as boring, just the fight. They can't control the way the fight happens, they can control the Jeremy Jackson shit. I think it's funny that they just happened to be filming Jeremy a lot in the previous days, which is something they RARELY do, this was the first episode they focused even a little on Jeremy, and coincidentally he jumps the fence. He's talking to people about his life troubles in front of the camera for a couple days before, they use all his confessional tapes from the previous days with him working up this big sob story about his life, and then he does the UNEXPECTED! Gasp! Who knew!?! Crazy how it all just happened to play out like that huh?

Oh and one more thing....if Jeremy got kicked off and sent home....then when did he make those videos in the confessional room that explained in detail what he did and how he did it?!?! THAT'S THE BIGGEST GIVEAWAY RIGHT THERE! F*cking horrible.

I think I got some pretty good evidence gathered up there so don't give me shit about this because it's not impossible that it's true.

If you have a conspiracy theory of your own, feel free to share it with me! I got one for Kendal Grove too!

I totally agree with you. His career is practically on the line and he is going to throw it away! If I was living in a car and I had a chance to win $100,000, you better believe I would do everything in my power to win. This is just as stupid as the Noah Inhofer incident on TUF 3. A chance to win a six figure contract and he throws it away for a girlfriend he's been dating for four month's. That had to been a set up, no one is that stupid!

I do have to say that I don't think Dana pick Jackson because he had a lack of charisma. Dana picked him because he is the type of guy who goes skirt chasing! The night Jackson got the call to be on TUF 4 he was out at night clubs drinking and partying. Do really think it would be believable if Pete Spratt was the one who jump the fence to meet up with a life guard. Still, I think Jackson would have kept his hormones in check if he was in such desperation as he said he was.

I think in interveiws and their research they find the weakest link, most gullable, and LOVE HUNGRY fighter and exploit that weakness sometime in the show. they use it when the fights aint good and scared of loseing to many viewers!!! Thinking with the wrong head, the one that aint doing the fighten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is lame. they wouldn't stage somthing like this and get so little air time out of it.
It's not just the airtime (I'm assuming you mean 'viewers'?) of that episode that they get out of staging this, it's all the viewers they will get for the rest of the season cuz it gets people back into watching it, cuz it makes for a better show. So you watch the last episode where someone gets sent home, you'll watch next week and so on to see what other crazy shit might happen. I don't think this thread is lame though, I could be wrong about it all, but I still don't understand why they have a tape of Jeremy explaining it all and everything.:dunno:

i dunno if the jackson thing was a set up , but there are def things staged on this show, just like alot of reality shows..i was on a vh1 reality show like 2 years ago(dont laugh), and at best its only 50% reality, so im sure tuf isnt any more real

And I agree, most reality shows are fake. That's why I hate them. The people that make these shows don't deserve the money they get paid for them. It's bullshit and it's warping people's perception of life. Watch a reality show one time and think about every little thing that goes on during the episode. Most of it is easy to see that it's fake. MTV reality shows are the absolute worse, and I would love to be the one to shut it all down. Date My Mom, Next, and Room Raiders are completely scripted from start to finish and it's f*cking ridiculous that people think it's real and it just pisses me off that people are getting rich by making this crap. They don't even TRY to make it look real on Date My Mom, it's so unbelievably blatant that it's scripted. And every season of TUF gets closer and closer to being an MTV reality show.

Scripted vs. Edited

I don't believe that the show is scripted as some of you are suggesting. The editors of the show have to compile all of the footage and then CREATE a 1 hour episode out of it. They edit the footage in such a way so that the audience perceives things in a certain way. There is no doubt that Dana and his think tank also try to pick fighters not only for their skills but also for their personalities. At least the fights are not edited like they are on "The Contender".

The show is decent I guess. I like most of the fighters on it, as far as having a conspiracy I really dont care.... It's the antics of the fighters on the show I like.... I really like Lutter to take it all so I enjoyed his fast submission victory.
