While extremely bored I googled my name and found an old thread I started on here that was simply called. Who do you always cheer against? It got a long of interesting conversations going and since it was nearly two years ago I decided to do an updated version of it. So here we go.
Sidenote. This is all for conversation and fun, lets keep the conversation and jabs inside the thread and refrain from the throwing the red rep around based on someone's opinion.
Part one- Who do you cheer against, that you have always disliked?
For me, Rampage... never did I like this guy. I think he projects every wrong image about the sport.
Part two- Who did you used to cheer for, that now you can't stand.
GSP, there was a time, after he lost to Hughes my buddies called me nuts when I said he was going to be an monster someday soon. No doubt that came true, but I personally would rather see a fighter with his skill show a little diversity in their battles.
Part three- Who did you used to despise, that has now won you over?
BJ Penn... I think the beating he got from GSP was the best thing that ever happened to him... it's as if the Georges hit a switch in him that told him just how good he could be, and the ironic part is that switch that made him realize his potential physically, seems to have also cooled his head mentally, taking his arrogance down to healthy confidence (imo), and his trash talk down from uncomfortable and laughable, to genuine respect for the sport and his opponents.
So there you go, lets make it interesting.
