The PPV was great. Don't get me wrong. However i am not a fan of a guy fighting two fights in th same night. C'mon. Barnett had to fight #3 and #2 in the same night! That is way to much for anybody, (though I see he is a warrior with his perfomance). Anyway cro cop had a much easier against silva fight than Barnett did with Nog. We didn't see the true Barnett fight Cro-cop.
Tounaments are fine, but two fights a night it too much. Anybody else?

It's good. You have to remember CroCop and Barnet have fought before, twice. CroCop won both fights and those were single bouts. CroCop was destined to win last night, whether he fought Barnett or Nog.

For the fighter its not much fun fighting more than once a night, but as a fan its great. It really shows what great athletes they are and their will to win

well, for the fans, its great... for the fighgters, its the job... look, only 2 guys ever have to fight 2x in one night... and its for a lot of money and bragging rights... plus, it doesn't happen very often!

I agree that as a fan it's cool but I have a concern for the fighters. sure they agree to it, but don't you think they'd like it even better if they fought at the next PPV.
I don't dispute that Cro cop would have betten Barnett anyway, however, If barnett had some time to recover from the Nog fight it would have been a much better performance.

I thought the purpose of the tourny was to find the best fighter. If the relatively fresh fighter defeats a beat up fighter I'm not impressed. I realize that in this instance it wouldn't have mattered. But there is no reason why a seriously disappointing finals win won't happen in the future. when it does the tourny thing will change.

jdun, i find your point to be self evidently unfair and you don't so I guess it ends there.

pt447, I admit there would have been fewer injuries in ufc 3 had there been rules, however plenty of bad injuries CAN and WILL occure in future tournaments even with rules.

I am still against 2 fights in a night but by consensus the two fights in a night thing stays.
