Sunday's Las Vegas Review-Journal features quotes from Dana White that confirm UFC's interest in a third Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz fight.

"The way that fight ended the last time (stunk), and we care about our fans and our customers," White said. "They were booing and throwing (things) and I've never experienced anything like that before. It was a bad scene."

The fight was stopped in Tito Ortiz's favor after one minute and eighteen seconds. Although Ortiz was clearly winning, MMA fans almost unanimously condemned the stoppage as premature, noting that Ken Shamrock was far from "out."

White is eyeing an October Spike TV special for the fight as a courtesy to disappointed fans who paid $39.95 to see their bout last month.

Neither Ortiz nor Ken Shamrock had agreed to terms at press time.

I'd be impressed if Tito fought this soon. He always seems to kind of make excuses about his training. Although he did say this is the best training he ever had and he wasnt hurt at all.

I know Tito will be game but is Shamrock going to go for this? During an interview he gave a couple weeks ago, Ken was entertaining the idea that the UFC had set him up to lose, probably to make Ortiz/Shamrock 3. He flat out said that whatever the UFC was planning he wanted no part of it.

LoL, UFC doesn't have to set-up anything for Shamrock to lose. He does a good job of that on his own. Shamrock is in DENIAL, that is the only problem he has, besides being a "has-been". He needs to just sign up for the fight, lose, get paid, and go home...

Yeah...I was reading about this. Sounds interesting. Fact is, lots of people are sick of seeing these two. Tons of people want each fighter to just move on (Shamrock maybe to WFA / Tito's climb to the LHW Title). But, on the other hand, you guys can't deny the fact that if Dana did put this bout on again - MILLIONS would tune in or buy it. Fact.

I also heard him mention this after his last fight - when Couture was interviewing him. It wouldn't suprise me in the least bit if Tito accepted the fight - as long as Slamcock agreed. You know Tito will go again. Truth be told...it would just be an easy way to pad his win-loss record even more. And that is a fact!

They really need to start stealing some of Pride's talent, too many rematches too closely together for the UFC.
You're right, they need to do something. Their 62 PPV already has 2 fights featuring 2 fighters from UFC 61 just last month.

Good!! I would like to see them fight just once more so Tito can shut the old man up once and for all. The fight had to be stopped as Tito connected with 6 consecutive elbows and Shamrock was not intelligently defending himself! He got up looking all bewildered as if he was OK but you could see him go limp after the second elbow. Not a great fan of either fighter but after TUF3 I thought Ken was just a pumped up lazy twat who had no interest in training any of the lads. Lay that grave Tito!!

he looked bewildered becasue he did not think it should be stopped... he was not cut and showed no signs of injury of any kind.. and is anything Ken does intelligent? no.. he just likes to fight win or lose.. though I would hope if there is a 3rd fight he is much better prepared.. I think in a 3rd fight ken might have a slight advantage.. Tito won twice so he might underestimate Ken the 3rd time and not take the fight as seriously.. where Ken having lost twice has everything to gain and nothing to lose.. that can make someone dangerous.. personaly though I would love to see ken win I think Tito just has his number though I would love to be proven wrong

I'm begging for this to happen. PLEASE! I really want to see Ken and Tito fight again, this time I'm pretty sure (even though I'll probably get shit on by other members by this) Ken Shamrock can defeat Tito Ortiz this time.

It would be nice to see Ken do a little better this time around. I don't really think he would win, but you never know when he might catch tito. It would be really cool of UFC to put in on Spike as a pay back for all of us that paid to watch the last crap:(

Id like to see Frank and Tito throw down again.......BUT, Rumors are running rampad that Dana is trying to get Frank to fight Baroni, per Baronis request.

Also found this out.....IF Ken and Tito were to fight, it would be nationally televised, apparently.

that would be great for public relations as many people got theat PPV mainly for that fight... plus since all the talk about it by putting it on TV many would tune in to see it just cause its free to see what the big deal is.. Ken better bring his "A" game cause it will be a big deal..
