Toner opens with a low kick, then stumbles back when Visher retaliates. Right straight from Visher followed by a low kick. Tentative pace to open. Toner works the outside of the leg, then inside. Visher pushes him back with another straight. Visher loading up on power shots, but they're coming only slowly. Toner kicks high, and a flurry from both ensues. Toner wobbles Visher briefly, but he recovers quickly. Two minutes in. Toner lands a front kick, the drops Visher with a stiff left hand. TAKEYA MIZUGAKI VS. RANI YAHYA
Round 1 - Referee Josh Rosenthal in charge of the action. No touch of gloves as the two fighters move cautiously forward. Mizugaki leaps in with a left, but Yahya spins away and shoot s a double. Mizugaki reverses the takedown and takes top briefly, but Yahya pops back up and shoots in again. This time he elevates Mizugaki and tosses him down. Mizugaki pops back up immediately, but Yahya drags him down from behind. Mizugaki stands, and Yahya briefly leaps for a standing guillotine. He lets it go and moves to Mizugaki's back. Mizugaki looks for the kimura grip, then throws elbows behind him. Yahya stays on the back and leaps up briefly. Mizugaki remains patient and pulls away. Yahya tries to shoot but gets air and winds up on his back. Mizugaki lands a few kicks before standing. Brief trading to to toe with both landing. Mizugaki backs away and walks into a left hook. Mizugaki with a right hook followed by a left. Yahya backs up to the cage, and the two trade again. Mizugaki wrks a takedown from the clinch, and Yahya pulls guard. Yahya eats a few shots underneath, and the round ends there. MMAjunkie.com gives it to Mizugaki, 10-9, on the late damage, though Yahya controlled the action early.
Round 2 - Cautious pace to open. Yahya leaps in and scores, but he doesn't continue the attack. Mizugaki answers with a flurry. Yahya stays just out of range as Mizugaki whiffs, but another right lands. Mizugaki pushes forward and into the cage. Yahya drops down and works a takedown, but Mizugaki works quickly back to his feet. Yahya stays attached and drags Mizugaki into his guard. Halfway through the round. Yahya works and open guard. Slow pace on the ground, and crowd wants a standup. They get it. Two minutes left. Mizugaki stalking, and he just misses a 1-2. Yahya evading strikes well, but he's not answering with many of his own. One minute left. Yahya eats a hook and whiffs with his return fire. Boos from the crowd. Yahya ducks his head and swings like he's on the schoolyard, Mizugaki returns fire, but it's a brief flurry, and Yahya pulls away. Yahya pulls guard, and Mizugaki lands a few elbows from top. Slow-paced round, and MMAjunkie.com sees it for Mizugaki, 10-9, based on the aggression.
Round 3 - Tentative again. Mizugaki lands a left to the body. Mizugaki leaps in with a right to the head, but Yahya ducks and looks to work the fight to the floor. Mizugaki taken to his knees, but Yahya keeps the bodylock tight. Mizugaki works to his feet and delivers a few solid elbows to his rear, where Yahya remains while looking for the takedown. Yahya stays on the back, and Mizugaki throws a few more elbows. Yahya finally gets Mizugaki to the floor, and he gets both hooks in while looking for the rear-naked choke. Mizugaki defends well, and the two are at a stalemate. Yahya comfortable with the hooks, and releases the choke and throws a few punches. Mizugaki defends, and Yahya works the choke back in while shifting to his own back. Mizugaki quickly defends and pulls the arm away. Mizugaki rolls into the move and now works from Yahya's guard. One minute left, and Yahya has an open guard underneath. Yahya holds Mizugaki close, and there's not much room to elevate and strike. Crowd again wants a standup, and boos come in with 30 seconds left. Rosenthal watching closely, but Yahya shrimping a bit and Mizugaki trying to posture, so he leaves it there. Round 1 -Referee Jon Schorle in the cage, and the crowd is firmly behind Mendes. Quick touch of gloves starts. Mendes in the center and misses with a jab. Mendes kicks low. Morrison returns fire. Morrison circles, looking to use range, Mendes throws a few punches and powers in for a takedown. Morrison defends well, lands a few punches and pushes away. Morrison lands a jab. Another jab pops Mendes' head back. Mendes shoots in. Morrison defends, but a second effort pushes "Cheesesteak" to the floor. Mendes and top, and he slides around and sinks in a guillotine choke and pulls guard. Morrison signals immediately that he's fine, but Mendes isn't letting go. DEMETRIOUS JOHNSON VS. BRAD PICKETT
Round 1 -Referee Herb Dean calls the night's final dark match. Touch of gloves to start. Pickett paws a jab, Johnson kicks low. A picket jab wobbles Johnson, but he recovers and backs away. Johnson lands a left high kick. Pickett moves forward, unfazed. Johnson kicks low. Johnson moving well, circling. Johnson lands an overhand right. Pickett catches a low kick and trips Johnson then narrowly misses a massive right. Pickett catches another kick but can't capitalize. Johnson quickly away, and he jabs and knees. Johnson kicks low again. Pickett definitely has the power advantage, Pickett takes a double and slams Johnson down. Johnson has half-guard. He gains full, though his head against the cage. Picket stands and catches Johnson with a punch when he does the same. Pickett with another takedown, and he just misses on a flying punch guard pass. Johnson holds half-guard with two minutes left. Pickett pushes out to side, but Johnson quickly back to guard. Pickett tries to stand and pass, but Johnson keeps him centered. Johnson against the cage. Johnson kicks off and stands, and he lands a knee. Pickett sand in the picket and delivers a left. Great sequence. Pickett with another takedown. Johnson lands a flying knee, but Pickett just slams him to the floor. Pickett on the side and works into a crucifix. The two stand with seconds left, and Johnson delivers a flurry. Pickett too strong for Johnson in tight, though his speed i effective on the feet. Pickett in half-mount. Johnson rolls to full guard. Pickett not finding much room to strike on top. Johnson turns and stands. Pickett stays on his back and drags him down again, though Johnson is active an gets immediately back up. Johnson still looks fresh as he delivers a high kick and just misses a right. Pickett ducks under, grab Johnson and slams to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Pickett moves to mount and starts to deliver big blows, but the horn sounds. Another good round, but the final action secures it for Pickett, 10-9.
Round 3 - High five to open the final round of the solid fight. Johnson shoots in and drags Pickett to the floor in a stunning turn of strategy. Pickett stands, though Johnson delivers a few knees as he keeps control of the head. Action stays in the clinch, and Pickett eventually drops and takes Johnson down. Johnson in guard, and Pickett stays tight while delivering a few lefts to the body. Johnson tries to shrimp out, and he works to his feet. Pickett stays on the back. Johnson pulls away and fires his hands. Pickett answers. Johnson shoots again and drags Pickett to the floor. Halfway through the round. Elbow from the top from Johnson, but when he looks to pass, he lets Pickett stand. After a deft little forward roll on the feet, Pickett grabs a double-leg takedown. Johnson on the floor, and Pickett passes to mount. Pickett looks comfortable in his base, and he certainly holds the power edge. Johnson keeps his opponent tight and works back to half-guard. Less than a minute. Johnson tries to sweep, and he uses the momentum to stand. Pickett stays tight in the clinch and delivers a knee. Scramble to the floor, and Pickett looks for an arm. Karalexis misses with a low kick. Pettis inching in. Pettis misses a jab, and he continues to circles. Jumping right kick snaps Karalexis's head back, and Pettis follows with a punch. Karalexis grabs hold to regain his wits. Karalexis tries for a single-leg, but Pettis pulls away. Karalexis looks OK. Karalexis chasing as Pettis circles. Pettis throws a lazy kick, and Karalexis makes him pay by pushing the fight to the floor. Pettis spins and stands without absorbing much damage. Karalexis works in tight, but then pulls away. Pettis lands a 1-2 from outside. Low kick for Pettis as he stays just out of Karalexis' range. Pettis catches a kick but misses on the counterpunch. Karalexis misses a right hand, and the reach is bothering him. Stiff jab from Pettis. Karalexis shoots in, and he looks for a single. Pettis stays upright, pulls away and narrowly misses on s a high kick. Two more low kicks from Pettis, and Karalexis buckles. The low kicks are punishing. Pettis lands a kick to the midsection, then misses up high. Karalexis shoots in, but he can't get Pettis to the floor. A second effort gets Pettis to his knees, but pops up and the round ends. Jung keeps coming forward, and there's a firefight. Both fighters trading. Homerun shots whiff, and the two finally clinc. Impressive flurries. Not the most technical, but sure as hell entertaining. Garcia pushing forward in the clinch. Little action, and he backs away. Jung grabs hold and fires off several knees. Garcia slips on a high kick. Jung puts his hands on his hops as Garcia moves away. High kick for Jung. Two minutes left. Jung drops Garcia with a left. Jung pounces and throws elbows. Garcia regains his wits and tries for and armbar underneath. He can't secure it, and Jung passes out to side control. Garcia quickly regains half-guard. Jung stands and delivers more shots from the top. Jung lets Garcia up and tries to grab a clinch. Garcia throws wobbled shots. All heart. Jung with a high kick. More shots from both. Garcia catches a low blow and turns to Schorle for help. He doesn't get it, and Jung gets throwing bombs. Unbelievable heart by both. Garcia drops and shoots. The action stalls against the cage. Schorle watches closely. Garcia breaks and lands a knee. Chants of "Garcia" in the arena. Both fighters visibly tired, and buying time right now. Low kick from Jung. Jab from Garcia. Garcia kicks low, then high. Garcia misses a spinning attack, and Jung makes him pay with a shot. Garcia turns his back, and Jung leaps up top and secures the hooks while dragging his opponent down. Jung can't get the choke, and Garcia wiggles free and stands. Jung jabs and kicks low when Garica leaps for a knee. Jung still moving forward. Garcia counters. Jung lands a knee, then a front kick. Garcia misses on a wold hook. One minute left. Junbg kicks high, then low. Knees inside from Jung who flurries. Garcia absorbs the shots and fires back. Unbelievable action. Crowd going nuts as Garcia fires power shots . Jung absorbs and moves forward. Tired punches to end. A second unbelievable round.
Round 3 - Not sure ow much these fighters can have left. Garcia pumps the jab early and kicks low. Jung stands in front and drops his hands. Kicks losing steam from jung, but Garcia's still crisp. Garcia still cricling away, countering. Three-punch combo from Garcia, followed by a kick. Jung covers well and moves forward again. Garcia moving away picking his shots. Jung tries to leap in but misses. Garcia firing heavy hands and mixing in kicks. Jung keeps pushing forward, but he's not offering the strikes he did in the opening two rounds. Halfway through the round. Garcia kicks to the body.Jung with a spinning backfist and a few straights lands. Garcia backs away, resets, and answers. Tired punches from Jung. Garcia punches and kicks to the body. Jung moves in, and it's toe to toe trading again. Both land, but stand in the pocket. Garcia rests and lands a knee. Kick from Garcia, and the chants come out again for the "Bad Boy." Jun g continues to move into Garcia. Garcia left eye swollen badly, but he finishes strong. Unbelievable guts by both fighters. Round 2 - Familiar pattern as quick flurries are traded with Banuelos retreating. Jorgensen catches a kick, but he can't capitalize. Jorgensen kicks to the ribs. Banuelos still firing in return, but Jorgensen getting the better of the action for now. Couple of boos as the pace slows just slightly. Halfway through the frame. Jorgensen drops Banuelos and follows to the floor. A couple of shot land before Banuelos tries to scramble up. Jorgensen puts him right back on the floor. Jorgensen on the back as Banuelos turtles. Jorgensen tries to work in the choke, but Banuelos squirms out of the hold. Jorgensen remains on the back, and he mixes in a few punches as he keeps looking for the choke. Banuelos is on his knees, and the fight is slipping away. Banuelos tries to roll out, but Jorgensen remains firmly okanted ont he back and looks for the choke. Banuelos punches behind him to try and loosen the grip, but Jorgensen nearly transitions to an arm-bar. More punches until the final bell - maybe even a little after. Round 1 -Referee Josh Rosenthal in the cage for this lightweight contest. Roller comes to the center and shoots immediately. Njokuani defends well and remains on his feet. Roller drops and trips, but Njokuani pops back to his feet. Roller works it to the floor, again, and Njokuani tries to scramble up. Roller keeps his weight on and Njokuani is stuck on his back. Roller smothering on the floor and gets to mon. He loses the position looking for a choke, but he scrambles to the back and locks in a body triangle. Njokuani tries to spin while avoiding the choke. Roller planted firmly on the back. Njokuani defending well on the ground, but he's unable to work free. Roller continues to look for the choke. Njokuani calm on the floor, but Roller switches arms on the choke, gets the left under the chin, and Njokuani can't defend anymore. He taps after being dominated by Roller. Shane Roller def. MIKE BROWN VS. MANNY GAMBURYAN
Round 1 - Referee Jon Schorle handles officiating duties. Both fighters look ready to explode. Brown misses a right. Gamburyan circling. Gamburyan yet t throws as he gets comfortable. Brown with a right and a front kick. Gamburyan jabs and Brown counters. Brown misses with two heavy hooks. Brown patiently stalking, while Gamburyan not yet really engaging. Gamburyan misses a right and circles away. Brown leaps in and eats a devastating counter right. Brown buckles, and his eyes roll back. Gamburyan throws a few hammerfists to seal the deal. Round 1 - Referee Herb Dean calls the evening's first title fight. Warm welcome for both fighters from the crowd. Round six begins. Cerrone pulls back a low kick. Henderson lands one. Faber limping horribly after a low kick. Faber nearly has a takedown, but Aldo backs away. Faber stays on the floor, and Aldo moves in and to mount. Faber rolls, but Aldo on the back with both hooks in. Aldo looking for the choke from the back. Both fighters on their sides. Two minutes in. Faber rolls out and nearly grabs a head on his way back to the feet. Crowd erupts at the escape. Aldo drops Faber with a low kick. Aldo moves in carefully to avoid the upkicks.
