What a great pic that was nicely done. I think there is a good chance it could happen. As we all know Maia's ground skills are no joke and if the opportunity is there at some point it could be all over like that. I'm excited about this fight. I can see the transitions now. hahaha

Somehow, I don't see Silva getting caught in a triangle. If anything he'll let Demian get back up instead of getting caught inside his guard.

Sick editing on that picture. I'm sorry to burst your bubble though, but Silva is not going to go to the ground Maia has to take Silva down first the fight doesn't start on the ground it starts standing. Silva is gonna look for the perfect timing to strike Maia and beat him up.. Maia's stand up is terrible although he did improve his stand up since the Marquardt fight.. his stand up is nothing compared to Silva's.

Silva wins 1rd ref stoppage :thumb02:

about the same as the chances of Anderson doing that to Maia IMO

what i dont get is... the only BJJ blackbelts Maia faced in MMA. he struggled with with on the ground.

nevermind that Anderson has longer limbs and still alot of power in his ground striking (especially elbows).

i really dont see Anderson getting caught in a triangle.

Miller held his own, i think Andy can more then hold his own if a ground situation arises. Hopefully it will.

ROFL it's not going to happen. Silva will control the stand up...he'd be a fool to grapple with him, but even if he did I don't see him submitting Silva. Silva isn't some amateur, he's the ******* champ. It's been 6 years since anyone has submitted him, and since anyone has beat him...get real guys; Demian is going to get rocked even worse than he did with marquardt, waste of a fight for Silva but I'm excited to watch him whoop another guy's ass. Hopefully he pulls some matrix style moves like he did with Forrest.

When did you come back!? Hasn't been the same without our trivia, Tony.

Also, that picture is (kind of) in my sig :) Great shop for sure.

Maia takes this via flying triangle.

Even if Maia get's Anderson down, the chances are very slim that he will actually submit such a legit Black Belt! It's not a BJJ tournament with a GI and without strikes.

You do realize he's not only a BJJ tournament God but he's won ADCC right? ADCC is no gi. The only difference is now is strikes and I think he's acclimated to that fairly well as evident against Miller.
