Yea I Knew There Was More, But I Thought They Were The Best, I Was Drawing Blanks..but I Picked Fedor, Because He Has Great Subs, And His Ground Control Is Insane, He Owns Everyone On The Ground His Power Is Crazy

Wtf Fedor isn't better at submission and grappling then Nogueira people. And where is Rua he is very good at submissions and grappling skills. So is Paulo Filho. Not Dean Lister .

Actually, I'm wondering why there isn't any mention of Genki Sudo, Rumina Sato or Masakazu Imanari on that list. These are guys that win mainly by submission and in very crazy fashion while doing so.

Genki Sudo is definitely the best at submissions and grappling next to Rodrigo Nogueira in my opinion .

Babalu is a good grappler like the Bonnar fan said but not as good as Sudo, Rodrigo Nogueira, and Fedor. Ricardo Arona and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira are very good too. As well as Silva and Rua. Those are the best in my opinion.

I picked Royce gracie for one reason.

He FIGHTS IN THE UFC.

If you wanna make a post about pride and ufc go to general forums.

i mean christ if your going to ask a question about something, make it on topic.

and Fedor isn't even close to the best submissions fighter in the world lol

Edit: i didn mean he cant submit people, i just dont think hes "the best"

Fedor

Russian Combat ***** Champion (Moscow championship, 2002)
World Combat ***** Champion (heavyweight division) (Saloniki, Greece, 2002)
World Combat ***** Champion (absolute division) (Panama, 2002)
World Combat ***** Champion (heavyweight division) (Prague, Czech Republic, 2005)

Thats enough for me, well that and his 10/23 wins in MMA by submission, his devistating G&P attack and the fact he puts everyone to the ground at will.
Nog must have tried 30 subs on him in the 3 fights and was brushed off or pounded for his efforts, and Nog is a sub-machine!

Fedor is a good grappler but hell a lot better at striking and ground and pound in other words punching. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Ricardo Arona, Mauricio Rua, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Paulo Filho, Babalu are a lot better. And the guy is right why is this in the UFC forum when three quarters of the options are PRIDE fighters. Ridicolous.

This reply has my vote for reply of the year. Why does it seem that the people who have been around here the longest are the biggest ball busters. Its a discussion forum, not a ballbusting forum, if you dont like what someone says; than state your position and be done with it. Why must you waste reply after reply making the same point which is really nothing more than a ballbusting session because someone did not say what you want? I can not tell you how many topics I have lost interest in because of the catty mentality of some of the members here. Grow up. Its a mma forum and it feels more like a tupperware party at times. butch up girls and stop acting like a bunch of queens.

BTW I went with Gracie because I am old school.:p

Now bring on the flames ladies I cant wait:cheeky4:

over all on the gropund Fedor is one of the best I picked him becasue of not just skill but his tenacity.. I mean the man gets dropped on his head and less then a minute later is winning the match by submission... in individual skills he may not be the best but over all he is one of the best... as for this being in the UFC thread.. geez no need to be so picky over which thread it is in people make mistakes all the time.. I have moved threads to the right topic alot.. this one is close.. this may not have been the best choice but it was not completely the wrong choice. but just to stop hearing people complain over something so trival I will move it to the correct section.

Thats stupid because techniqually i think Ken Shamrock was a better grappler then any of these guys and he was pretty good with submissions as well.

And ya Fedor might have been good in ***** but guess what.

4X National Machado Jiu Jitsu Champion (weight class and open classes)/ 2X National ***** Champion/ KOTC Middleweight champion/ National Gracie Jiu Jitsu Champion/ North American Qualifier ADCC 2003 Absolute Champion in ADCC/2005 Superfight Champion in ADCC

Thats dean listers records. And i think its more impressive that he's won *****, Machado, and Gracie JJ championships.

and guess what he's 8/8 wins in submissions lol
