What do you think was the worst main event in UFC you have ever seen and demanded your money back?

Personally, I think the worst main event ever in UFC I wanted my money back from was the fight that was supposed to be Ortiz versus Metzger at UFC 50 but it turned out Patrick Cote was a replacement and the match was just so boring and I couldn't believe Patrick Cote was the one fighting Ortiz and everything. It was just a waste of time and a dissapointment.

Another main event I didn't quite like was UFC 55 Fury's main event Arlovski and Buentello. I knew Buentello would be destroyed and it only lasted 15 seconds, a shame. UFC 55 the full PPV wasn't very good itself.

What do you think was the worst main event ever in UFC to occur and you hated so much?

I think you're thinking Randy vs. Vitor 2. In the match prior to that, Randy beat Vitor's bum into the ground when no one gave him a chance. He did it by outstriking him too. The rematch sucked because of the fluke cut. The 3rd match after that proved just that.

No the worst UFC main event ever has got to go to: Dan Severn vs. Ken Shamrock in UFC 9. It went to a 30 minute decision that was prefaced with 25 minutes of dancing around and circling by both Shamrock and Severn. This is also the reason why UFC has the "No passivity" rule. Everyone was hyped for this fight, and it deflated the whole of the event (and a lot of the UFCs commercial momentum) after it occured.

I really have to go with UFC 55, how the hell can you have a main event that ends in 18 seconds? You'd think that the matchup would have been better.

I am with you on this one. I haven't even been able to watch that fight in about four years it is so damn boring. Severn's slaps where the highlight of the whole fight. Or maybe it was the moment he reversed Ken and got on the top possition at the end? Either way it sucked.

I'd much rather have a real fight end quick than the farce that was offered via Shamrock vs. Severn II. Don't give me this "I'm afraid to engage" bullsh*t.

It's one of the reason why I enjoy a lot of Under Card fights and fights in smaller organizations. When you have up-and-comers on a card, they usually have lots to prove with nothing to lose. With that in mind, they usually fight as such.

I can't remember which UFC it was but the main event was "The Russian Bear" Oleg Taktarov vs. Tank Abbott, in Denver, Colorado. This was before time limits and rounds. Remember it's in Denver, the air is thinner and the match was more than a hour long with nothing going on. They were both on the ground, Tank on top of Oleg and both were tired and exhausted. Most boring fight ever and Big John restarted them on their feet like 4 or 5 times and would end up with Tank on top. After an hour Tank finally messes up and taps out to Oleg. Neither one of them got up after the fight was over, they were too exhausted and both needed oxygen. More than an hour of nothing.

I'd take watching that fight over the UFC 9 ME any day. True, it was hard as hell to do anything because they were exhausted, but at least they tried to do something. In Servern vs. Shamrock II, neither of them wanted to do sh*t because Shamrock wanted to catch Severn when he was coming in (just like their first match), and because Severn knew that he was too freakin' scared to even come within arm's length of shamrock.

They were both touted as being the biggest, baddest, mofos on the planet, but they ended up looking like a set of p**sies. I've heard of other people who would've been long-time fans that sight that particular match as being the reason why they haven't watched any MMA since 1996 and barely started watching over the last year.

How come everyone makes fun of IronMan saying "I'm afraid to engage" lol. It makes me laugh so hard for no reason lol.

Another crappy main event was I think UFC 51 where Ortiz faught Belfort. That match was boring as are all of Ortiz and Belfort (when he got older) fights. All they did is hold each other against the cage and end it in decision.

Couture .vs. Belfort 1 was actually not bad since Belfort clobbered Couture but part 2 was very boring except in the end Couture got him on the ground and punched him and look at the effects in my sig iceman574. The referee had to stop it. But besides that part the match was boring. It was like Couture got him in a good position once and Belfort was done.

Vitor Coture 2 when Coture got cut under his eye
Yeah, that was boring until Couture pounded him the last minute of the third round and the ref stopped it. Patrick Cote and Ortiz was way worse. It was so boring and a dissapointment Cote was in the main event fighting Tito .

I don't know about the worst, but hughes v. gracie was the most dissapointing for me. I know matt is a stud, but i really expected gracie to fair better than he did.

Now since I know my UFC history better all of the Couture and Belfort matches were retarded and a waste of time as well.

The first match between the two of them was stupid. Of coarse Vitor took forever to get out of the locker room and was sick but still it took Randy almost five minutes to finish a sick person off.

And then part 2 was also crap. Randy Couture started to get eye problems near the end of his career, thats why I dislike Couture. He almost ended the fight against Chuck due to his weak eye.

And finally part 3 was a crap fest but not as bad as the other two. The fight was boring and all that really happened was the both of them being held up against the cage and then finally at the end of the fight he ended it but at the last second of the round.

So Couture and Belfort all sucked. But Cote and Ortiz was way worse.

I dont know how you judge the quality of fights but, the first fight between vitor belfort and randy couture is considered a classic. Many people put it in the top 10 matches of ufc history.

Randy couture doesnt have a weak eye, poking people in the eye is illegal. Chuck got penalized for it because it's against the rules.
