Ignoring the fact that they're friends and don't want to fight each other, they both seem to depend on their strong counter fighting game.

Tonight Silva showed an unwillingness to press the fight, at least in the last two rounds. He was constantly baiting Maia to attack him, rather than just bringing the offense himself.

I just can't picture these two fighters putting on a good show against each other.

It could go either way, when Anderson is forced to be the aggressor his fights suck, when Machida is on the aggressive I actually think his fights are better. To me I think it depends on who breaks and starts the chase.

Either Silva kicks him in the leg 5000 times and wins a decision or Lyoto gets agressive and gets dropped and either GNPed out or subbed. I never understould people thinking Lyoto was a better striker and grappler than Andy before the Shogun fight.
