People were complaining about the NJ crowd but that was, hands down, one of the worst crowd's I've ever heard, or didn't hear for that matter. Pearson v Siver was an absolute slug fest and the crowd was just dead, no reaction. Then that half assed chant of 'USA' for Kenny? Is it just blow-in fans or what? Either way its bullshit.

Retarted booing crowd is still worse than a silent crowd in my book. Sure they could have made alot more noise, but atleast they didn't start booing at Florian for that jabfest many would label as boring.

Yeah it was a weird crowd. Someone kept screaming like they were being murdered or something in the stands and because the arena was silent it could be heard above everything. Surprised Rogan didn't pick up on it.

I agree they werent terrible. I mean you wouldnt call the Japanese crowds from Pride terrible because they were quiet. I didnt notice anything wrong with them tbh i think the OP is just looking a bit to far into things.

Also if your going to try to call any person place thing or group of people retarded you should probably atleast spell the word right otherwise it just looks even worse on you lol...

In Japan its considered rude to cheer until a performance breaks or finishes, so they weren't cheering to show respect.

In all honesty I don't have a problem with a silent crowd during a slugfest. It kind of has that same feel as the Japanese shows have where the crowd respected the sanctity of the fighters and held their applause until after, also kinda reminded me of the old-school UFC where people were so entranced by the brutality they didn't react too much.

As for the half-assed USA that was dumb, and the intermittent booing was even worse. Was the Florain fight a jab-punch fest? Yup. Was it awesomely technical? Yup! But most d-bag casual fans don't see the technical side, or see it and don't comprehend what they see. So they react poorly. Its innevitable with combat sports IMO.

I thought the crowd was ok for this type of event. They didn't really boo anyone like just because of nationality which seems to happen alot at recent events.

Uh, never said that. Just said that some fans are more enlightened as to whats going on than others. There are plenty of casuals that get pissed when it goes to the ground(everything GSP), when its a counter-fight(Silva v Leites), or when its not a brawl(Gomi v Florian). But a hardcore fan(who knows what things are called, and what they are trying to do), loves to see GnP, position control, subs, technical fights, and counter-fights. Its all comes down to one's tastes.

no offence to Americans but it just think the crowds over there are pretty shit in general. admittedly nj in particular was pretty bad. the USA chants when americans are fighting foreigners are just cringeworthy imo. just plays up to the stereotype people have of americans.

The Best Ultimate Fighter Moment Ever

Was when the British fighters combated the American's team chants of USA, USA, USA with You Are Gay, You Are Gay, You Are Gay! Haha, I think Spike TV kind of faded it out into the background.

Sure they do, my tax dollars buy them trailers and spinners for their mini vans...
no no no... the ones that buy trailers with your tax dollars buy skoal/copenhagen, lottery tickets and commemorative Nascar plates.

the ones who get spinners for the mini vans also buy menthol ciggarettes, red kool-aid, grape soda and live in low income inner city housing.

get it straight... i mean really....
